The Stockton University Environmental Internship Program (SUEIP) is comprised of a team of one professor, who is also the project PI (Dr. Tait Chirenje, link), a Project Advisor (John Hallagan), three environmental specialists (Lori Gorczynski, Steven Hoffman and Justin Milillo - all three are based at the NJDMAVA Office in Lawrenceville) and 8-9 Stockton University student interns at any point. The program targets junior and senior environmental science students interested in topics such as pollution prevention, remediation, conservation, natural resource management, GIS and environmental compliance. It is designed to provide these students with the tools they need to pursue careers in concentrations of their choice while also producing a quality product for the NJDMAVA (follow this link for specific skills).
SUEIP interns work on both individual and group projects with NJDMAVA EMB staff or consultants. These projects include developing survey plans, report writing, sample collection, conducting surveys, data management, and GIS tasks, and are held to high standards for quality of work and professionalism. You can learn more about our team by reading the resumes and short biographies on the next page (or the drop down menu at the top of this page - navigate to SUEIP Members, hover your cursor on top of that title and a drop-down menu will pop-up).
